YMCA Internship: SMART Goals

My SMART goal that I had created months ago was being able to create successful social media content to raise awareness about the YMCA and opportunities in the community. I would say this goal has and hasn’t been met at the same time. It has been met because I was able to create content for social media and gain a better understanding of what that process looks like. It was more successful for me on a personal level because it was a new experience that I have more familiarity with now and can use in the future. I only say it wasn’t met because my work hasn’t been posted. Because of that, I haven’t been able to see if there is any engagement, mainly because I worked on future events, which is something I had written in my SMART goal. Overall, I think I was able to reach a better goal than what I wrote months ago because it gave me better knowledge and skill in something I can see myself doing in my future career.
