During my internship, I was able to write in a variety of forms. Between storytelling, press releases and social media, I had many different opportunities to improve. I believe that in my future career, those experiences will be the most valuable. I say this because strong writing is so important in any career, but I think it especially applies to me and where my future could go. I would also say that being able to write in a professional setting rather than academic provided me with a different, and arguably more enjoyable, experience. I also believe that being able to meet so many people and learn about their stories is so valuable. With meeting these people I was able to see the impact that organizations like the YMCA have on families, communities and individuals. With what I have gained with this internship, I am more confident in myself and where I will end up in my career. I look forward to being able to apply what I have learned with the Y and also improving even more in the future.
