Dodge Introduces Their First Electric Muscle Car.

Norfolk, VA – February 10, 2024 - The world of muscle cars just became electric as Dodge plans to unveil their 2024 Dodge Charger EV. Starting at $50,000, their widely popular Charger sedan is set to become battery powered.

Showstopping Design: The exterior of the vehicle takes on a sleeker, more futuristic look. With aerodynamic designs, it will surely catch many eyes. These models will also include the “Fratzog” logo which was previously used on Dodge vehicles between 1962 and 1975. The interior provides comfort and advanced technology with a 12.3-inch center screen and 8x3-inch head-up display. Located on the steering wheel, the PowerShot button will produce bursts of acceleration.

Electrifying Performance: This brand-new take on Dodge’s "muscle car" reputation is not one to be feared. Dodge’s CEO Tim Kuniskis exclaimed the electric charger will “tear up the streets, not the planet.” These vehicles will be powered with a high-performance battery, with entry-level models producing 455 horsepower paired with a 400-volt propulsion system. Their midrange model, the Charger 440, is comparative to their gas-powered Scat Pack, producing 590 horsepower. With the introduction of the Banshee EV system, their top model will have an 800-volt propulsion system and is promised to have superior performance metrics from Dodge’s previous gas-powered Hellcat. These all-electric vehicles will be designed to keep that roar that many Dodge owners love. Dodge put out a statement saying, “The Charger Daytona SRT Concept voices a 126 dB roar that equals the SRT Hellcat.” The EV sounds will be pushed through an amplifier near the rear to mimic the sounds of a gas-powered engine.

Easy Charging: The electric Charger will have an effortless charging system equipped with advanced charging abilities. Both convenient and efficient charging options will be available to buyers including an at-home charging option. Drivers can charge their vehicle with ease whether on the go or in the garage.
